Heather Cuckler

Heather L. Cuckler, 64, of Harrisville passed away at 6:44 p.m. May 31 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born April 3, 1951, in Massena, N.Y., she was the daughter of Robert C. and Frieda N. Flanders Lycette.

She attended Winchester Thurston School in Pittsburgh and then graduated from Hiram College with a degree in art history.

Over the years, Heather worked at various stores, including TJ Maxx in the cash office.

Heather was a very gifted artist who enjoyed many different mediums. She also enjoyed gardening and was a former member of the Penn Hills Gardening Club. She was instrumental in helping the club win a state and national championship.

On Sept. 16 1979, she married Roger J. Cuckler, and he survives.

Also surviving is her son; Justin R. Cuckler of Harrisville; her daughter, Lara A. Elliott of New Castle, and one grandson, Hunter R. Elliott.
