Betty F. Shook Lindey

Betty F. Shook Lindey, 82, formerly of North Road, Butler, died Friday morning at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala.

She was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Butler and was the daughter of Ethel J. (Rankin) and George W. Shook.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.

Mrs. Lindey enjoyed farming and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, David Lindey of Dothan, Ala., Dennis and Douglas Lindey, both of North Road, Butler; a daughter, Lisa (Lindey) Kolb of Colorado; five grandchildren, Shawn Lindey of California, Katrina (Lindey) Schuman of Georgia, Corrie (Lindey) Nye of Pennsylvania, Caleb Lindey of Pennsylvania and Joshua Kolb, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Harry Lindey, whom she married Jan. 3, 1947, and who passed away April 13, 2007; two great-granddaughters; and a sister.

<B>LINDEY</B> — Visitation for Betty F. Shook Lindey, who died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Edward L Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect.
