KC looks to extend streak against Punxsy
For Karns City, it's all about momentum.
“Momentum is what you believe in,” Gremlins coach Ed Conto said. “Our kids have been gaining in that area.
“What kind of momentum does Punxsutawney have right now? We have to find that out.”
The Gremlins (2-2) host the Chucks (1-3) at 7 p.m. Friday at Diehl Stadium. KC has won its last two games, defeating Redbank Valley 42-28 and St. Marys 61-6.
After pulling off its miracle comeback in an overtime win at Moniteau, the Chucks were shut out by Brookville, 36-0, last week.
The Gremlins hold an 8-1 lead over the Chucks in the series between the teams. The loss was a 31-0 decision in 2010.
KC has outscored Punxsutawney 208-28 in their last four meetings, including a 47-0 win last year.
