Doris Bach
Doris (Lavern) Brenneisen Smith Bach, 82, of Cranberry Township passed away Thursday surrounded by her family.
Born July 24, 1931, in Coraopolis, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lilly (Holland) Brenneisen.
Doris was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Cranberry Township. She worked for Sewickley Valley Hospital and retired in 1997 to enjoy being with her grandchildren and to travel with her husband of 13 years, Richard Bach.
Doris was the president of the church council at the Hope Lutheran Church, a Girl Scout leader and president of Haine and Rowan PTO. She loved to knit, sew, crochet, travel and make candy.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Smith) Feits and her husband, William, of New Sewickley Township, Susan (Smith) Sinclair of Evans City, Scott Smith and his wife, Holly, of Oxon Hill, Md., and Keith Smith of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, Heather (Barnett) O'Malley of Chicago, Krista (Barnett) Molinero of Blacklick, Ohio, Rachel (Feits) Prince of Beaver Falls, Jacob Feits and Elias Feits, both of New Sewickley Township, Tawnya (Beighley) Haddock of Oxon Hill, Md., Meghan (Beighley) Hendricks of Green Lane, Pa., and Natasha Smith of Oxon Hill, Md.; seven great-grandchildren, Max O'Malley, Dominic and George Molinero, Genevieve and Gwenyth Prince, Tristan and Nathaniel Haddock; stepchildren, and step-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth G. Smith; and her brother, Louis Brenneisen.
BACH — A memorial service celebrating the life of Doris (Lavern) Brenneisen Smith Bach, who died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hope Lutheran Church, 8070 Rowan Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Ronald H.
