Sally and Rex Gates

Rex and Sally Gates, of Penn Township, celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner on Saturday, June 10, at the Field House in Cabot.

Gates married the former Sally Hays on June 20, 1953, at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Prospect.

They have three children, Darlene Clark of State College, Dena Hochbein of Saxonburg and Darrell Gates of Ligonier, Pa.

They also have seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Gates retired from Armco.

Mrs. Gates worked for Avon and Cellular One.

They are members of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
