Lottery winner will receive $1,000 a week, for life
An Armstrong county woman recently won $1,000 a week for life on a PA Lottery scratch-off ticket.
On Wednesday, June 27 officials from the Pennsylvania Lottery and Giant Eagle presented 50-year-old Tricia St. John of Armstrong County with a commemorative check for $1,000 a week for life.
“I actually didn’t believe it when I scratched it,” she said according to a news release. “I was running errands, picking up a few things here and there, and making a few different stops. Thank goodness I ran out of cream that day.”
The check presentation was held at the Giant Eagle in Leechburg, where the winning ticket was sold.
The $10 game’s top prize offers the choice between an annuity option of $1,000 a week for life, or a one-time cash option of $1.04 million.
