Senior Care Authority, an eldercare consulting and assisted living residential placement service company, recently opened a North Pittsburgh franchise location at 2009 Mackenzie Way, Suite 100, in Cranberry Township.

North Pittsburgh area owner Cara Lapic said she fell in love with sitting down with families and trying to figure out what they need.

“That could be connecting them with elder care lawyers, home health care, Medicaid planners or helping place them into assisted living care,“ Lapic said. ”We meet with families and trying to be a connector wherever they are at.“

Lapic said she is in the “soft launch” phase for the North Pittsburgh franchise location, which includes areas such as Butler, North Hills, Fox Chapel, Kittanning, New Castle, Beaver and Sewickley.

“People have been genuinely appreciative of getting some help and navigating the landscape because it's very complicated,“ Lapic said. ”So far people have been really welcoming of the service because a lot of folks don’t know the service exists.“
