RIMERSBURG — Butler Youth Baseball’s 12-under team won its District 25 tournament opener Saturday, defeating A-C Valley/South Clarion, 9-0.

Hunter Knapik, Noah Jockel and Elijah Manning combined on a four-hit shutout. Cole Rea had three singles and Adam Marshall contributed two singles. Luke Macko doubled and Colin Neubauer had two RBI.

Butler hosts Franklin in the next round of play at 6 p.m. Monday at the Meridian baseball complex.
