Lifesteps receives 2 donations worth almost $14,000
Lifesteps, an independent, nonprofit and social service agency, recently received two donations totaling nearly $14,000, according to a news release Wednesday, June 21.
One of the donations came from First Commonwealth Bank for a total of $10,000 through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
This donation will help fund Lifesteps’ Transitions program which provides vocal and employment skills training for high school student and young adults with disabilities, Lifesteps said.
The second donation came from Northwest Savings Bank for a total of $3,806 also through the EITC.
The money from the Northwest donation will be used to fund Lifesteps’ Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Program which offers full and partial scholarships for its Early Education Centers in Armstrong, Beaver and Butler counties to qualified children in full or part-time preschool services as well as the Summer Discovery Program.
