Butler Little Theatre’s upcoming season will start with “The Dog Logs” by C.J. Johnson on Sept. 28.
The comedy/drama will run through Oct. 6 at the BLT, One Howard St.
Curtain is at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Butler Art Center is accepting entries for its annual Nature and Wildlife Show that opens Sept. 12.
Cash prizes will be awarded at the show’s reception Sept. 14.

Seneca Valley School District will again be the site of plays in the 49th season of the Citizens Bank Children’s Theater Series.
Shows include “Your Alien,” one day between Jan. 6 and 14; “Flight School the Musical,” between Feb. 17 and 24; and “Rosie Revere, Engineer,” between March 31 and April 7.

Bill May will present “Historic Mansions of Butler Walking Tour” at 6 p.m. Sept. 8.
The homes are in the neighborhood of North McKean, East Fulton and East Pearl Streets.
Participants will hear the stories of the builders of these homes as well as their connections to Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain and John D. Rockefeller.
The tour will last 90 minutes and cover less than a mile.

[naviga:h3]‘Grit’ exhibit opens at SRU[/naviga:h3]
The Martha Gault Art Gallery at Slippery Rock University will host an opening reception for the exhibit “Grit” from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The exhibit will continue through Sept. 26.
The artist, Rabecca Signoriello, will attend the reception, and light refreshments will be served.
Signoriello is a graduate of Edinboro University and the New York Academy of Art.
This collection of heroic-sized paintings represents the value of labor, the dignity of hard work and family.
The exhibit can be viewed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
[naviga:h3]Foodie Fest planned in GC[/naviga:h3]
Grove City Chamber will host the fifth annual Grove City Area Foodie Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in Grove City’s Memorial Park in the Highland and Joseph D. Monteleone Picnic Shelters.
Attendees will be able to sample foods from area restaurants.
The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for those 2 and younger.
The event will be held rain or shine.
