Benjamin Valentine McGrew Jr.
Benjamin Valentine McGrew Jr., 60, of West Deer Township passed away at his residence Thursday, Dec. 21.
He was born Aug. 6, 1957, the son of the late Benjamin Sr. and Elizabeth (Schmidt) McGrew.
Benjamin had a heart for working with youth as demonstrated by his job at Glade Run Lutheran Services. He also volunteered as a youth group leader at HZUMC.
Ben was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, as well as a lifelong listener of sports talk radio. He was a talented doubles and mixed doubles tennis player.
Ben was a movie and music buff with Pat Benatar, Billy Joel and Motown being among his favorites.
He wanted his family and friends to remember him as a great father, a great guy and a gentleman.
Benjamin is survived by his children, Mitchell McGrew and Melanie (Joe) Milner, both of Zelienople.
