Stanley T. Malkey
Stanley T. “Tom” Malkey Jr., 72, of Freeport passed away Saturday while in the company of family members at the VA Butler Healthcare Medical Center.
Tom was born July 7, 1943, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Deloris (Laisure) and Stanley T. Malkey Sr.
He served in and retired from the U.S. Navy.
He attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler. Tom was a member of the Freeport Sportsman's Club, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol (Kreider) Malkey; his son, John T. (Malou) Malkey of Knob Noster, Mo.; his daughter, Mindy (Pastor Joel) Benson of Gibsonia; his son, Todd (Amanda) Malkey of Kittanning; seven grandchildren, Mark and Mathew Malkey, Madelyn (Chris) Howe, Adam (Ashley) Benson, Mara Benson, Mackenzie and Mackayla Malkey; and two great-granddaughters, Ashlynn and Jocelynn Howe.
He also is survived by his sister, Patricia Wolfe of Freeport; his brother, Clyde (Janet) Malkey of Winchester, Ind.; and his sister, Darlyn (Bruce) Lawson of Espyville, Pa.
MALKEY — Family and friends of Stanley T. “Tom” Malkey Jr., who died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joel Benson, pastor, officiating.
