Richard R. Wolfe
Richard R. Wolfe, 80, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Parkers Landing, Pa., the son of the late Russel F. and Marjorie (Saylor) Wolfe.
Richard retired from Armco Steel in 1998 after 40 years of service. Then he worked for the Treesdale Country Club as a ranger.
Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1958 to 1962, an Eagle Scout and scout leader and was a genealogist doing years of research on his family tree. Richard was a member of the Esquire Club, various golf leagues and a classic car lover.
Surviving are his wife, Stephanie (Hogg) Wolfe of Butler; his son, Scott W. (Jan) Wolfe of Fountain, Colo.; his daughter, Christina R. Wolfe-Chandler (Steven) of Grover Beach, Calif.; his son, Stephen R. Wolfe (friend, Stephanie) of Lahaina, Hawaii; his brother, Ronald D. Wolfe of Deming, N.M.; his sister, Francis E. Winsley of Sanger, Calif.; and various nieces and nephews.
WOLFE — Friends of Richard R. Wolfe, who died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
