Donald F. “Wolfy” Wolfe

Donald F. “Wolfy” Wolfe, 71, of Butler, passed away Aug. 25, 2016, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1945, in Butler, to the late Frank Wolfe and the late Grace Wolfe.

Donald retired as a Melt Shop Foreman for Armco Steel in 1996 after more than 30 years of service. He belonged to American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. Donald was also a former member and chief of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for more than 20 years. He loved dogs and enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting, restoring antique vehicles and wiring houses.

He is survived by his loving wife, Valarie, whom he married on June 12, 1964; two sons, Frank Wolfe and his wife, Molly, of Chicora and Donald “Shawn” Wolfe and his wife, Angie, of Ocala, Fla.; one daughter, Michele Turner and her husband, David, of Chicora; six grandchildren, Austin Turner, Mason Turner, Aiden Wolfe, Shawn Wolfe, Madison Wolfe and Andrew Wolfe; one brother, George Wolfe and his wife, Dian; 10 nieces and 13 nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John “Jack” Wolfe.

WOLFE — Friends of Donald F. “Wolfy” Wolfe, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 4 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis R.
