Connoquenessing and Summit elementary schools will have fresh faces in their principal’s offices this year.

The Butler School District announced the hiring of two new principals Monday night. Both are moving from previous jobs in the South Butler School District.

Hope Hull is Connoquenessing Elementary’s new principal.

She previously taught in South Butler, the Fox Chapel Area School District in Pittsburgh and the Union-Scioto School District in Ohio, according to a list of qualifications provided by Superintendent Brian White.

Beyond teaching, Hull provided training and consultation support as a staff coordinator in South Butler, and she worked with data and kindergarten literacy.

Hull earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Ohio University and her master of public management from Carnegie Mellon University. Indiana (Pa.) University granted her principal certification.

Hull is starting at a $75,283 salary.

Lesley Fidler will be heading to Summit Elementary.

Fidler was previously assistant principal at Knock Middle School and guidance counselor at Mars High School. She also worked in therapy as a behavior specialist for Wesley Spectrum Services.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pittsburgh and then her master in school counseling from Duquesne University. Her principal certification is from Gannon University.

Fidler is starting at a $94,104 salary.

White emphasized Hull’s use of data in education environments and Fidler’s implementation of student support systems at Knoch Middle School.
