THE WORLD CHANGED
DAY OF DESTRUCTION — Pedestrians flee the area around the World Trade Center as the south tower collapses following the terrorist attack on the New York landmark on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. The attacks that day were carried out by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists and killed nearly 3,000 people.
