KIM NOWAKOWSKI (Butler) has been named the PSAC West Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The sophomore forward at California (Pa.) had 21 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks in a 57-45 win over Indiana (Pa.) last Wednesday and 10 points and 15 boards in a 55-42 triumph over Edinboro Saturday.

MELANIE BUCZKO (Butler), a junior on the Bucknell University women's indoor track and field team, set a new fieldhouse record with a leap of 13 feet, 3½ inches in the pole vault. In winning the event, she also hit the NCAA provisional mark.
