Nowakowski's total included 11 boards on the defensive end.
Slippery Rock University wrestlers Jason Cardillo (165 pounds) and Charlie Pienaar (184) both finished second in their respective weight classes at the PSAC Championships Saturday at SRU's Morrow Field House.In the finals, Cardillo was pinned by Edinboro's Deonte Penn at the 6:28 mark while Pienaar dropped a 5-3 decision to Edinboro's Alex Clemsen.The Rock's Shawn Baglio finished in third place in the 149-pound weight class by defeating Kutztown's Chris Chambers, 6-1.Jerimiah Frederick (174 pounds) brought home a fourth-place finish for SRU, losing to Lock Haven's Carlos Ponce, 7-4, in the third-place match.As a team, The Rock finished fourth out of nine teams with 87½ points. Edinboro won the PSAC Championship with 146 points.
KAHUKU, Hawaii — Loren Roberts completed a two-week Hawaiian sweep, holing a 9-foot eagle putt on the final hole for an even-par 72 and a two-stroke victory over Scott Simpson in the Turtle Bay Championship.The 50-year-old Roberts, the first Champions Tour player to win his first two starts of a season since Larry Nelson in 2001, finished his wire-to-wire win with a 12-under 204 total. Last week, Roberts had a record-setting, one-stroke victory in the season-opening MasterCard Championship on the Big Island.
SAN DIEGO — Mike Piazza agreed Sunday to a $2 million, one-year contract with the San Diego Padres.Piazza, 37, is hoping to catch about 90-100 games this season, along with playing some first base and being the DH in interleague games.The 12-time All-Star holds the major league record for most career home runs by a catcher (374). He has 397 homers overall, and is a career .311 hitter.Piazza hit .251 with 19 homers and 62 RBIs for the New York Mets last year.

LOS ANGELES — Thieves stole $500,000 in cash, jewelry and other items from Los Angeles Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley's Bel-Air home, authorities said Sunday.Mobley's home was burglarized Saturday night, Los Angeles police officer Mike Lopez said. He declined to release details or whether detectives had any suspects.On Saturday night, Mobley had 19 points in the Clippers' home victory over Denver.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The St. Louis Blues traded second-leading scorer Mike Sillinger to the Nashville Predators on Sunday night for forward Timofei Shishkanov.Nashville will be the 11th NHL team for the 34-year-old Sillinger, who has 439 points in 877 career games during 15 seasons.
