Dolores Kiser Cokain

Dolores Kiser Cokain, 88, of Grove City passed away Monday evening at Orchard Manor after a period of declining health.

Dolores was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Butler County, to Harold and Mary Whitmire Klever. She was a 1946 graduate of Concord Township High School in Hooker and a 1947 graduate of Butler Business College.

She retired in 1993 from Grove City Middle School, where she had been a secretary in the guidance office for more than 23 years. She had formerly worked in the Loyal Christie Insurance Agency.

Dolores was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and officer in the Women of the Church. She was a longtime member of the Library Bridge Group and the Pine Grove Line Dancer.

She is survived by her children, two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Gail) Kahle of Franklin and Mrs. William (Rhonda) O'Donnell of Media, Pa.; three sons, Terry (Dana) Kiser of Pawleys Island, S.C., Larry (Val) Kiser of Grove City and Gary Kiser of La Mesa, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one stepson, Thomas (Bev) Cokain of Hermitage; two stepgrandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; and one brother, Ronald Klever of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Eugene Kiser, who she married Oct. 29, 1949; he died Sept. 28, 1978. She also was preceded in death by her second husband, N. Richard Cokain, who she married June 27, 1997, and who died Feb. 1, 2008.

She also was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Daniel A. Kahle; and a brother, Kirby K. Klever.

COKAIN — The family of Dolores Kiser Cokain, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, and from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 819 Columbia Ave., Grove City.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at the Old Annandale Cemetery in Boyers.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund, 819 Columbia Ave., Grove City, PA 16127 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
