Essay winners
These youngsters captured first place in 1969 in the annual eye safety poster contest and received U.S. Savings Bonds from Samuel Oesterling, right, director of the Blind Association. The honors were handed out at a Lions Club meeting at Lions Park. Robert Burkholder, second from right, presided at the meeting.
