Doris E. Atkinson
Doris E. Atkinson, 86, of Cabot passed away Friday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Sept. 29, 1929, in Marwood, she was the daughter of the late O.J. Nicol and Bertha (Gaulke) Nicol.
She worked as a secretary for Patterson Auto Parts and Davis Furniture.
Doris was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, where she was an active member of the choir. She enjoyed traveling and she loved her cats.
Surviving are her husband, Clair F. Atkinson, who she married Oct. 14, 1950; her son, Dennis Atkinson of Pittsburgh; her daughter, Donna Atkinson of Butler; her grandsons, Michael (Eowyn) Atkinson of Highland, N.Y., and Jonathan Atkinson of Pittsburgh; her sister, Jeanie (Dale) Koegler of Cranberry Township and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Nicol and Gerald Nicol.
ATKINSON — Friends of Doris E. Atkinson, who died Friday, July 8, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
