Donald Walker

Donald E. Walker, 78, of Evans City passed away Saturday in the comfort of his home.

Born July 18, 1934, in Callery, he was the son of the late John D. and Catherine (Moore) Walker.

Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1985, he retired from the Carpenters Union after many years of dedicated service.

He was a member of the Evans City VFW, the Hungarian Club, the Zelienople American Legion Post 474 and the Evans City Sportsmen's Club. He was a former member of the Mars Sportsmen's Club. Above all, Don was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed trap shooting and fishing.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his love for 27 years, Carol (Smith) Walker of Evans City; his son, Timothy Walker and his wife, Rhonda, of Zelienople; his stepdaughter, Jackie Caito and her husband, Keith, of Munhall; his stepson, James R. Piper of Harrisonburg, Va.; his four grandchildren, Brandi Rhody and her husband, Stacey, Joshua McDonough, Brett Walker and his wife, Jennie, and Ian Walker and his fiancée, Ashley; and three great-grandchildren, Mikala Rhody, Mason Rhody and Tristian Walker.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Czartoryski; his son, John Walker; and his daughter, Deborah Buzard.

WALKER — Donald E. Walker passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. Don's family will welcome friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at noon Saturday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
