Mary Ann Kelly Brennen
Mary Ann Kelly Brennen, 76, of Butler passed away peacefully Wednesday at her home surrounded in love by her husband and children.
Mary Ann was born July 5, 1939, in Sheraden, Pa., the daughter of Francis Kelly and Beatrice Cobbett.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Kelly of Pittsburgh.
Mary Ann loved the outdoors, nature and animals. She was an avid camper and spent weekends and summers sharing this passion with her husband, children and grandchildren. Mary Ann also loved crafting, spending time with her family and helping others. Mary Ann was devoted to her faith in Jesus Christ, Catholicism and her family.
Mary Ann attended Holy Innocents grammar school and graduated from Langley High School. In 1961, Mary Ann married the love of her life, James Brennen and settled in the small community of Thornburg, Pa., to raise her family. In 1990, Mary Ann and James Brennen moved to Butler, where they were members of St. Fidelis Catholic Church.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Brennen of Butler; her sons, James Brennen (Kris) of Imperial, Pa., Brett Brennen (Rosemarie) of Ebensburg, Pa., Sean Brennen (Deana) of Tampa, Fla., and Ryan Brennen (Heather) of Chicora; her daughter, Meghan Brennen Smith (Hobie) of Burbank, Calif.; her grandchildren, Jennie Floyd, Elizabeth Brennen, Christian Brennen, Jami Brennen, Kruz Brennen, McKenzie Brennen, Blake Brennen, Hobie Smith, Wyatt Smith, Ryer Brennen and Athena Kniess; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Cody, Evan and Aliza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
BRENNEN — There will be a viewing for Mary Ann Brennen, who died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
