W. Ned Weston

W. Ned Weston, 75, of West Sunbury passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Ned was born on July 28, 1938, in Osceola Mills, the son of the late Edward Weston and the late Virginia Cowher Weston.

He was a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon.

Ned was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the National Guard for 13 years.

He was a game warden for northern Butler County for more than 36 years and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Trappers Hall of Fame.

Ned is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Bloom Weston; his daughter, Tracy Dawn Tyler of Georgia; his son, Todd Weston of Parker; his eight grandchildren, Angie Marshall, Alan, Heather and Coty Weston, Alex, Danica and Dane Tyler, and Delaney Campbell; and his three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Nancy Woomer of Altoona, and his brother, Jim (Eleanor) Weston of Osceola Mills.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Weston, who died on Oct. 1, 2010.

Weston — The friends of W. Ned Weston, who passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, will be received at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday. A celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey Lang, his pastor, officiating.Arrangements are entrusted to the William F.
