Eddie H. Butler, 79, of North Bluff Street died at 5:55 a.m. Monday at his home.

Born April 8, 1928, in Butler, he was the son of Edgar H. Butler and Anna D. Munro.

He retired from Armco -Butler Works after 37Z\x years. He also was the former owner of the Butler Coin Shop and the Renfrew Curiosity Shop, and he was an auctioneer.

Mr. Butler was a former elder at the Covenant United Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Butler Lodge 272 F&AM, the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh and of the New Castle Consistory.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Hilliard Butler, whom he married June 3, 1950; three sons, Edgar H., Carl G. and Thomas J. Butler, all of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Randall (Elizabeth A.) Flick of Fenelton; 10 grandchildren, Edward, Jason, Amber and Ashley Butler, Katie Decker, Carla Cox, Kelly Christie, Cassie Wood and Abby and Anna Flick; and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Decker and Landon Christie.

He also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Amelia) Vogel, Katie Sampson and Mrs. David (Jody) Johnston, all of Butler, and a brother, Grant Butler of Plantation, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lovina Butler.
