Elliott

Evelyn Bacher Elliott, 96, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, formerly of Boydstown, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Friday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She was born May 11, 1916, in Oakland Township, to the late John L. Bacher and the late Cora Bowers Bacher.

Mrs. Elliott was a member of the North Butler Presbyterian Church. She was very active in her church in the early years helping with fundraising and, in her later years, holding Bible studies. Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker. She also was a clerk on the election board of Oakland Township for many years. One of her greatest joys and loves was her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by one son, J. Edward Elliott of Butler; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra L. Delury of Folsom, Calif.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence (Curly) Bacher and his wife, Dee, and John L. Bacher, both of Butler; one sister, Mrs. Cleora Black and her husband, Don, of Butler; and also by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elliott, who passed away Oct. 18, 1996; and also by two brothers, Cliff and Cecil Bacher.

ELLIOTT — Friends of Evelyn Bacher Elliott, who passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, will be received at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will follow immediately at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Lang of the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church officiating.The interment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.Evelyn's wishes were for no flowers to be sent and she suggested donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
