William E. Adams
William E. Adams, raised in Illinois and formerly of Morristown, Tenn., Portersville and Cranberry Township, passed away Feb. 21 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
He was born Aug. 8, 1920. A graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., he was married to the late Jean (Simcox) Adams while serving in the U.S. Navy. After completing the necessary studies at Harvard, he was appointed Disbursing Officer, Lt. j.g. He served in the Pacific on the aircraft carrier Salamaua.
After World War II, he became a certified public accountant and spent his career in business.
He is survived by his children, William E. Adams III, Nancy Louise Adams and Robert Simcox Adams; four grandchildren, William E. Adams IV, Samuel Knight Adams, Elizabeth Jean-Louise Adams and Stacy Morrow; and six great-grandchildren, William E. Adams V, Katherine Adams, Abigail Adams, Caroline Adams, Robert Morrow and Olivia Morrow.
He also is survived by Katie (Sudheimer) Palopoli and Michael M. Sudheimer, the children of his beloved, and unfortunately deceased second wife, Deborah Sudheimer. He is especially missed by his dear friend, Mary Ann Love.
<B>ADAMS</B> — Services for William E. Adams, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, will be in Morristown, Tenn., at the All Saints Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012.
