Sarah Maxine Bopp, 92, of Butler passed away on Thursday at her residence.

She was born March 11, 1926, in East Butler, and was a daughter of the late Frank W. Varner and the late Hazel V. Painter Varner.

Sarah worked as a school secretary at Center Township Elementary School, until retiring in 1993.

She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.

Sarah is survived by two daughters, Kathy D. Clark and her husband, Dennis, of Butler, Kim McAfee and her husband, Kevin, of Butler; four grandchildren, Sarah McAfee, Emma Vioral and her husband, Kyle, Aaron McAfee, and Cody Clark and his wife, Brooke; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, whom she married on Nov. 12, 1947, and who passed away March 23, 2009; and one sister.

BOPP — Friends of Sarah Maxine Bopp, who died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, with the Rev. Nicholas J.
