Sandra "Sandy" Lou (Gold) Schattauer, 61, was raised by angels to bask forever in the glory of God's presence on Sunday.

She was born April 11, 1949, to the late George E. Gold and Anna Lou Meyers Gold Baker.

Sandy graduated from Perry High School and eventually married the love of her life, David H. Schattauer. They were together for more than 40 years. They settled down in the North Hills, where they raised their two children.

Sandy worked for more than 30 years with the H.J. Heinz Co. and then owned her own businesses, Island Breezes Image Studio and The Island Beanery.

She was the cherished mother of David E. Schattauer and Leslie Schattauer (Scott Dolfi); devoted sister of Edward Gold, Catherine Lomb and the late Linda Perry; and stepdaughter of Harry Baker.
