HARRISBURG — Butler archers Dawn Patsy, Holly Hildebrand and Anne Rycroft placed first in their respective divisions at the Pennsylvania State Archery Association Indoor Championship last weekend.

Patsy scored 1,188 to win the Women’s Umlimited AA division. Hildebrand totaled 1,111 to win Women’s Umlimited A and Rycroft totaled 1,070 to win Women’s Unlimited B.

Calli Johns finished second with a 1,053 in Women’s Unlimited B, Jennifer Matus second with a 1,044 in Female Intermediate Unlimited A and Aaron Hilderbrand third in Men’s Umlimited AA with a 1,198.

Hilderbrand shot a perfect 600 on Sunday.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The federal judge overseeing the NFL players' request to lift a lockout by the owners said it will take “a couple of weeks” to rule.U.S. District Court Judge Susan Richard Nelson, however, urged both sides to get back to the bargaining table. Nelson heard arguments from lawyers for the players and NFL owners.

WASHINGTON — Former pitcher Roger Clemens argued in court filings that a congressional committee and law firm that investigated performance-enhancing drugs in baseball have no right to withhold evidence from his upcoming criminal trial.Clemens filed arguments asking U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton to require the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the DLA Piper law firm that produced the so-called Mitchell Report on drugs to turn over their evidence that Clemens used steroids and human growth hormon.

MIAMI — LeBron James is getting into the soccer business, aligning with the owners of the Boston Red Sox.Fenway Sports Management — the sister company of the Red Sox — said it has signed James and the company he helped create, LRMR, to a long-term deal to secure marketing and sponsorship opportunities.As part of the deal, James obtained a piece of Liverpool FC, one of the world's most famous soccer teams and a longtime marquee franchise in the English Premier League.

DURHAM, N.C. — Point guard Kyrie Irving is leaving Duke after one season to enter the NBA draft.Coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement issued by the school that Irving plans to hire an agent, ending his college career.Irving played only 11 games and missed roughly two-thirds of the season with an injured big toe on his right foot.
