Lester A. “Sandy” Dunmire Jr., 59, passed away peacefully Wednesday at his family farm in Franklin Township, Butler County.

He was born April 14, 1954, in Pittsburgh and was the son of Lester and Enid Mitchell Dunmire.

He was a member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church and an avid fan of Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers.

He is survived by his mother, Enid Dunmire of Franklin Township; his sister, Dr. Susan M. Dunmire and her husband, Dr. Samuel A. Tisherman, of Allison Park; his nephew, Robert Tisherman of Pittsburgh; and his nieces, Sara and Rebecca Tisherman, both of Allison Park.

Lester was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Lester A. Dunmire, who passed away July 21, 2012.
