Judith Guenther
Judith Arlene Roth Guenther, 76, of Prospect passed away Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family.
“If these words have reached the public domain, the truth is I won't be returning again, and I've broken those surly bonds of Earth, the journey which began the day of my birth.”
Born March 30, 1939, in Prospect, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Woessner Roth.
She was a life member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect.
Judy enjoyed her chime choir, reading, and time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gustave G. Guenther III, who she married July 20, 1963; two sons: Gustave G. Guenther IV of Alaska and Jason Paul (Cheryl Baumann) Guenther of Prospect; three grandchildren, Kyle, Erika, and Isaac Guenther; and five siblings, Paul Dennis (Lois “George” Double) Roth of Prospect, Roger Roth of Michigan, Barbara Sundling of Michigan, Diane (Frank) Fasciano of Pittsburgh, and Delores (Charles) Rumley of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
The last journey was made possible through the efforts of the many employees of the Butler Memorial Hospital, the Concordia Visiting Nurses (especially my dear friend, Lana) and the Concordia Hospice Program. Special note must also be made of my daughter-in-law, Cheryl, and my sister, Diane, who not only sacrificed much to care for me, but did it willingly and in a dignified and loving way.
