Deloras Rose Marterella Parenti Rose
Deloras Rose Marterella Parenti Rose, 90, of Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, formerly of Boyers and Butler, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Thursday at her home.
She was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Boyers. She was the daughter of the late Gennaro Marterella and the late Elizabeth Rich Marterella.
She retired from the housekeeping department at Slippery Rock State College. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended the Epiphany Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and dancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Paga and her husband, Frank, of Valencia and Anna Plesakov and her husband, Jim, of Hilliards; one son, Enrico Parenti and his wife, Lynn, of Forestville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. One sister, Caroline Kale of Grove City, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Parenti, who died, Jan. 20, 1976; her second husband, Carl Rose; one brother, Charles Marterella; and one grandson.
ROSE — Friends of Deloras Rose Marterella Parenti Rose, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Epiphany Catholic Church, Boyers, with Father James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.Burial will be in the Epiphany Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
