Rider 50th anniversary
Don and Jan Rider, of Boyers, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at home.
Rider married the former Jan Kirschner on May 19, 1973, at Boyers United Methodist Church, with a reception at the Masonic Hall in Grove City.
They have one son, Doug Rider and his wife, Jacy Rider, of Devon, Pa.
They also have two grandchildren.
Mr. Rider is retired. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge in Grove City, New Castle Consistory, American Legion of Harrisville, VFW of Cherry Valley, Moniteau Area Ceremonial Squad and Boyers Sportsman’s Association.
Mrs. Rider is retired and had previously worked at General Motors, the U.S. Postal Service and Bob McGinnis Taxidermy.
They are members of Boyers United Methodist Church, where Mr. Rider has held many leadership roles, and Mrs. Rider has played the piano for 15 years and has also held many leadership roles.
