GREENSBURG — Head lice have forced the postponement of a preliminary hearing for six people charged with torturing a mentally disabled Western Pennsylvania woman before killing her.

The six suspects in the brutal killing of 30-year-old Jennifer Daugherty were scheduled for a preliminary hearing this morning but it has been postponed until March 4.

The district judge's office where the suspects will appear said head lice forced the hearing to be pushed back.

Westmoreland County Prison Warden John Walton would only say the suspects are being treated for a medical issue.
