Isabell “Izzy” Bacher
Isabell “Izzy” Bacher, 95, of Butler peacefully passed away Thursday at the Orchard surrounded by her family.
She left this world as she lived her life; humbly and gracefully, with a peaceful spirit and grateful heart, ready to meet her Savior.
Born Dec. 4, 1922, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Braden and Norma Shakely Kiser.
Isabell was a longtime member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler. She served the church in many capacities.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and her passion in life was caring for her family. She was always happiest when helping others. She loved to sing and she sang hymns of praise while creating beautiful flower gardens around her home.
Surviving are one son, Paul (Gloria) Bacher of Butler; one daughter, Bonita “Bonnie” (David) Martin of Butler; three grandchildren, Jason (Ruth) Bacher of Butler, Heidi Martin of Boston, Mass., and Adam (Amanda) Martin of Butler; and four great-grandchildren, Jakob, Harper, Aubriella and Madilynne Isabell; two sisters, Velma Blain and Cleo (Ron) Baxter, and one brother, Paul (Renie) Kiser, all of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cliff Bacher, who passed away Dec. 13, 1990; two grandchildren; four sisters; and three brothers.
The family thanks the dedicated employees of the Orchard and the VNA Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
BACHER — Friends of Isabell “Izzy” Bacher, who died Thursday, May 10, 2018, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Merry Meloy officiating.Private burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
