Robert Hartman Sr.
Robert Hartman Sr., 82, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Dec. 9, 1933, in Pittsburgh, to the late Homer Hartman and Marie (Self) Hartman.
Robert worked as a maintenance supervisor at LTV Southside Works in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Hartman, whom he married April 9, 1983; nine children, the Honorable Denise Hartman and her husband, Tim, Kirby of Athens, N.Y., Cindy Lee Bartek of Glassport, Robert Hartman Jr. of Pittsburgh, James Hartman of Pittsburgh, Mark Hartman and his wife, Gina, of Pittsburgh, Michael Mezynski of Pittsburgh, Col. Alex Mezynski, retired USAF, and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Rumbold, of Centreville, Va., Karen Castillo and her husband, David, of Macungie, Pa., and Scott Matvey of Pittsburgh; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy Hartman and his wife, Donna, of Pittsburgh and Homer Cubbage and his wife, Erma, of Pittsburgh; one sister, Nancy Cubbage of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Ed” Hartman and Ronald Hartman.
HARTMAN — Friends of Robert Hartman Sr., who died Thursday, May 5, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev.
