Knoch graduate Greg Bzorek, a senior offensive tackle for Edinboro University, is a finalist for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year award.
Bzorek started 44 of his 45 career games with the Fighting Scots, who set a school record by posting 26 wins over the last three years. Bzorek did not allow a quarterback sack in his final two seasons and Edinboro has led the PSAC in fewest sacks allowed the past two years.
Other finalists for this award are Brian Alderson of South Dakota, Marcus Brisbone of Presbyterian, Jahri Evans of Bloomsburg, Clayton Farrell of Abilene Christian, Pat McCoy of West Texas A&M, Mike McFadden of Grand Valley State and Dave Tollefson of Northwest Missouri State.
Butler graduate Adria Matonak, a senior guard for the St. John Fisher women's basketball team, scored 17 points and added four assists in a 73-67 win over SUNY Brockport Tuesday.St. John Fisher is 6-0 on the year. Matonak's career-high for points in a game at the school is 18.

NEW YORK — The Heisman Trophy competition is a three-man race — just as it's been all season.Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart of Southern California will be back in New York on Saturday, along with Texas quarterback Vince Young, when the Heisman Trophy is awarded to the nation's best college football player.The Downtown Athletic Club, which hands out the sport's most prestigious individual award, invited only those three players to the presentation ceremony.Last season, five players attended the Heisman ceremony and Leinart won it. Since 1999, either four or five finalists have been invited to New York.
HOUSTON — Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk won the Rotary Lombardi Award as the nation's top college lineman or linebacker, becoming the fifth Buckeyes player to receive the honor.The other three finalists were Louisville defensive end Elvis Dumervil, Penn State linebacker Paul Posluszny and Texas defensive tackle Rod Wright.
