College notes

DAVID LESLIE (Butler) struck out six in 5.1 innings pitched for Grove City’s baseball team in a 4-3 loss to Washington & Jefferson. The Wolverines finished the season at 30-11, setting a program record for single-season victories.

AUTUMN PETTINATO (Butler) finished ninth in the javelin for Clarion at the PSAC Track and Field Championships. She threw a personal-best 37.47 meters.

JOCELYN McNANY (Seneca Valley) and CAMI McNANY (A-C Valley) of Penn State Behrend were named to the All-AMCC Tournament team. Behrend was eliminated by Penn State Altoona and finished the season at 23-19. Jocelyn McNany had a two-run homer in the tourney.

MATTHEW LASLAVIC (Seneca Valley) placed second in the javelin at 51.36 meters and third in the triple jump at 13.36 meters for Penn State Behrend at a Last Chance Track and Field Meet hosted by Allegheny.

ALEX COTTON (Knoch) placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.51 meters for Penn State Behrend at the Last Chance Meet.

NASH BRYAN (Butler) recorded his seventh save of the season for Pitt’s baseball team, striking out two of the five batters he faced in a 7-4 win over No. 11 Miami (Fla.).
