Modesta Ann 'Molly' DiGiammarino

Modesta Ann “Molly” DiGiammarino, 86, of Bradys Bend went to the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday. Death came peacefully to her at Parker Personal Care, Parker.

Born Jan. 16, 1925, in Ganister, Blair County, she was the daughter of Antonio and Pauline (Conti) Albini.

Her husband, John J. “Jumbo” DiGiammarino, who she married July 2, 1946, died Oct. 31, 1988.

Early in life, she worked for Westinghouse in Sharon winding coils and spools.

Molly found beauty in every day. She will be greatly missed by all who had the joy to ever meet this wonderful woman. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and drawing. Molly was a devoted mother and loving wife. Nothing took the place of the love she had for her family.

Mrs. DiGiammarino was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 488 and the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend.

Surviving are five daughters, Jeanette Snyder and her husband, Larry, of Eau Claire, Nancy Gershak of Bradys Bend, Antoinette McCall and her husband, Brad, of Petrolia, Denise Marano of Bradys Bend and Patricia DiGiammarino of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, John DiGiammarino of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County; and two sisters, Jennie Galano of Masury, Ohio, and Malena Kuminkoski of Butler. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pasqualena “Lena” Anthony; a brother, Ydolo “Lou” Albini; and two infant brothers.

<B>DIGIAMMARINO </B>— Friends and family of Modesta Ann “Molly” DiGiammarino, who died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Patrick Church with the Rev. Ron Cyktor, church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Patrick Church or to the St. Mary Cemetery, 915 State Route 68, East Brady, PA 16028
