The Karns City High School commencement ceremony for students and immediate family only was at 6:30 p.m. June 3 at the high school.

The student commencement speakers are Elizabeth DeRose, Nathaniel Rondinelli and Breanna Tomsey.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Danielle and John DeRose, of Karns City. She is senior class president and a member of the varsity girls basketball team, cross country team and track and field team, as well as a member of the Butler County Youth Leadership Program and Communities that Care.

She plans to attend Butler County Community College as a general studies major.

Nathaniel is the son of Louis and Tammy Rondinelli, of Karns City. He is president of Believers in Christ Club, a student council representative, a member of the National Honor Society, Kids that Care and the Chess Club, as well as captain of the boys varsity soccer team.

He plans to attend Penn State University and Schreyer Honors College as a software engineering major.

Breanna is the daughter of John and Cathy Tomsey, of Chicora. She was president of student council, president of German Club and a member of the, National Honor Society, the D9 varsity women's soccer team, the debate team and the science club

She will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg as a public policy major.

Senior class officers are: Elizabeth DeRose, president; Emma Clark, vice president; Brittney Friters, secretary; and Mackenzie Dunn, treasurer.
