Russell Stump
Russell Stump, 86, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born April 15, 1927, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Russell Stump Sr. and Belle Stump.
Russ was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was an independent truck driver and a member of the Teamsters union. Russ enjoyed woodworking and birdwatching. He was an avid Penguins fan. He was a member of the VFW.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Margaret (Henderson) Stump of Butler; one son, Russell Stump Jr. of Philadelphia; three stepsons, George Vensel and Keith Vensel, both of Butler, and Ken Vensel of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Janeil E. Machiko of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Ruth Ann.
