MATT KARENBAUER (Knoch), a member of the Penn State Behrend swimming team, won the 200-meter butterfly, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley in the Lions 210-75 season-opening win over Alfred State.
NICK CIMINI (Mars), a junior on the Westminster men’s soccer team, scored the Titans’ first goal in a 4-2 win over Washington & Jefferson. Westminster is 11-3 overall, 5-1 in conference pkay.
CLAIRE KOCUR (Seneca Valley), a senior defender on the Grove City women’s soccer team, scored her first goal of the season, heading in a pass during the Wolverines’ 6-0 win over Waynesburg. The game marked GCC’s 300th all-time victory.
KATIE McCLYMONDS (Slippery Rock), a junior on the Grove City women’s volleyball team, had 20 digs in the Wolverines’ 3-1 loss to Bethany.
COURTNEY GRUBBS (Freeport), a freshman setter of the Thiel women’s volleyball team, had stellar efforts in a 3-0 win over Hilbert and 3-1 loss to Westminster. She had 29 assists and six aces vs. Hilbert, 35 assists, 20 digs and five kills against Westminster.
ANGELA SEMAN (Seneca Valley), a senior libero on the Pitt women’s volleyball team, had a match-high 18 digs in the Panthers’ 3-0 win over Notre Dame. She also had 11 digs and two spike aces in the Panthers’ 3-1 win over No. 21 Louisville. No. 6 Pitt is 22-0 on the season, 10-0 in the ACC.
