A pair of Slippery Rock University pole vaulters managed NCAA provisional qualifying efforts Saturday at the Doug Raymond Invitational at Kent State.

Cameron Daugherty placed second in the men's competition with a height of 4.95 meters.

SRU freshman Michael Shiverdecher was right behind Daugherty, placing third at 4.65 meters.

Vinnie Schmidt and Kevin Rummel both scored 16 points, but Butler County Community College fell to CCAC-Allegheny 72-56.

Despite 23 points and seven rebounds from Shelby Johnston, BC3 lost at CCAC-Allegheny 68-39.
