The Western Pennsylvania U15 boys lacrosse team competed at the Keystone Games last weekend at Penn State University and placed second.

It is the highest a team from the western side of the state has finished at the annual event.

The squad was comprised of some of the best players in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Butler County players included Anthony Grieco and Joe Horvat from Mars, Trevor Miller of Knoch, Brady Moze, Shane Ferrick and Adam Galovich from Seneca Valley.

East Butler wins Oil City tournamentOIL CITY — East Butler’s 10-under baseball team won the Oil City Heritage Tournament recently.Team members included Walter Crocker, Conner Schaffner, Julius Collins, Cole Hurley, Dawson Pfabe, Chance Downing, Tanner Geibel, Clay Collins, Brady Collins, Cameron Cygan and Colin McCune.Head coach was Earl Collins, assisted by Kip Collins and Ed Downing.
