Mary Patricia Ryan

Mary Patricia Ryan “Patricia,” 96, of Butler, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at her daughter's residence in Grove City.

Born March 17, 1925, in Trafford, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Della (Lucas) Oesterling.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She was also a member of St. Peter Women's Council Phase II, and was a volunteer for funeral luncheons at the church hall.

She worked at the Quaker Plaza in Emlenton, and after moving to Butler, she worked in the kitchen at the Days Inn for 15 years.

Following her retirement, she loved baking cakes, and gardening both vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed going to the library, playing Scrabble, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Weber of Grove City, Linda (Don) Neff of Chicora, and Susan (Roger) Simpson of South Carolina; her daughters-in-law, Cathy Ryan of Butler, and Sophie Ryan of Florida; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Blanche Hall of Emlenton, and Betty Ann Karenbauer of Chicora.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Ryan, whom she married Aug. 22, 1947, and who passed away March 3, 2010; three sons, Paul, John, and David and his wife, Bonnie Ryan; two sisters; and two brothers.

RYAN — Friends of Mary Patricia Ryan “Patricia,” who died Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Oakland.
