Fiddle fest storms into Slippery Rock
SLIPPERY ROCK — Barrage, a high-octane fiddle-fest featuring an international, cast performing a mix of music, song and dance, comes to Slippery Rock University's Miller Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The performance is the final segment of SRU's four-part 2009-10 Performing Arts Series.
Since its creation in Calgary, Canada, Barrage has been featured at events worldwide as well as on televisions networks in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Canada.
With more than 10 years in performances, the cast includes five violin players, a drummer, guitar player and bass player. The show is on the road more than 30 weeks each year.
Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for senior citizens and those age 17 and younger; and $8 for SRU students. Call 724-738-2018.
