Thomas Gutherie
Thomas Bert Gutherie, 80, of Butler went home to be with his beloved wife, Sue Ann (Lackey) Gutherie, on Sunday.
He was born May 18, 1935, in Butler to the late Alvin Victor Gutherie and Lillian (Buckley) Gutherie.
Thomas worked as an electrician for the IBEW Local 10, retiring with 43 years of service.
He enjoyed cars and attended the Community Alliance Church.
Mr. Gutherie is survived by one son, Daniel Gutherie and his wife, Becky of Butler; one daughter, Shari Hartle of Butler; three grandchildren, Matthew Gutherie, Zachary Hartle and his wife, Rebecca Favazzo-Hartle, and Melissa Gutherie; one brother, David Gutherie and his wife, Betsey, of Butler; one sister, Jeanne Furman and her husband, Danny, of Renfrew; two brothers-in-law, William Lackey of Butler and Donald Lackey and his wife, Gaye, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann (Lackey) Gutherie, who he married June 16, 1956, and who passed away July 8, 2011; and one brother, John Delbert Gutherie.
GUTHERIE — Friends of Thomas Bert Gutherie, who died Sunday, June 7, 2015, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dennis L. Krajacic of the Community Alliance Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler, PA 16001.
