Mars Area High School Student Council raised $2,231 to benefit the family of eighth-grader Paige Lauten, who was seriously injured when she was struck by a vehicle Nov. 29.

Student council donated the proceeds from its Spring Fling Dance, held March 25, as well as money raised through the sale of “Paige Strong” bracelets.

On Thursday, April 27, student council held a doughnut breakfast, where members presented a check to the Lauten family.
