STATE COLLEGE — Ryan Prokay of Grove City carded a 79, losing a tiebreaker in Division C of the Keystone Public Golf Association's P.J. Boatwright State Final at the Penn State Golf Course recently.
Garrett Rodgers of Cambridge Springs also carded a 79 and won the tiebreaker over Prokay.
BOSTON — Butler native and Boston Red Sox pitcher Matt Clement was moved from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list over the weekend.Clement, who has been trying to come back from a strained right pitching shoulder, was moved to the 60-day DL to make room for newly acquired pitcher Bryan Corey.Clement was 5-5 with a 6.61 ERAin 12 starts this season for Boston.His last start was June 14 against Minnesota.

GREENVILLE — A pair of 2006 Butler County high school graduates, Sarah McAfee of Butler and Haley McFeaters of Moniteau, will continue their academic and track and field careers at Thiel College.McAfee, a three-year letterwinner in high school, will major in biology and pre-veterinary medicine.McFeaters, a two-time state qualifier, will major in criminal justice.
GROVE CITY — Steven Feczko of Butler recently won a junior golf tournament held at the par-3 Willow Hills Golf Course in Grove City.Feczko, 14, carded a 61 on the par-54 course.
